FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

International Recording Artist, Coach, and Speaker Malkah Norwood Launches MalkahNorwood.co

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL — July 11, 2026 — Beyond music, Malkah Norwood is the founder of W.I.S.E. (Walking in Spiritual Excellence) Coaching & Mentorship, where she serves women through faith-informed coaching, mentorship, vocal coaching, and educational resources. As a certified life coach and mother of one, she is passionate about helping women rebuild with wisdom, resilience, and purpose following life's most challenging transitions.

International independent recording artist, certified life coach, teacher, and speaker, Malkah Norwood announces the launch of MalkahNorwood.co, the official online destination for her music, coaching, mentorship, devotionals, and biblical resources.

Born in Nampa, Idaho, on May 2, 1987, Natasha Queen English was raised in Los Angeles, California, in a two-parent bi-racial household with her two sisters. Norwood developed a passion for music at an early age, drawing inspiration from artists including BeBe & CeCe Winans, Yolanda Adams, Sade, Anita Baker, Bobby McFerrin, Lauryn Hill, and John Legend. Performing professionally under the stage name Tasha Queen, she launched her independent music career in 2008, auditioning for American Idol and The X Factor before pursuing an independent path through Soundcloud and YouTube.

As her audience grew, Norwood continued performing as Tasha Queen throughout Southern California as a background vocalist, worship leader, and featured guest at churches, showcases, theatrical productions, and renowned venues, including The Whisky a Go Go and The Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood, as well as TEDxCrenshaw, a tribute to Black History Month. She also contributed to gospel recording projects and writing groups while developing her own original music.

During a transformative season of faith within her former marriage, Natasha embraced the Hebrew name Malkah, meaning "Queen," reflecting both the meaning of her given middle name and a renewed spiritual calling. Under the name Malkah Norwood, she released her debut independent album, Malkah, in 2018, followed by additional original works, including Edah, in 2024.

Today, Malkah is the founder of Set-Apart Music & Meditation, producing Songs From Tziyon—original worship music in English and Hebrew that offers praise to YHWH through a distinctive blend of Eastern rhythms, Afro Soul, Rhythm & Blues, and contemporary worship. Her music, inspired by personal testimony and the Hebrew Scriptures, has received nearly five million YouTube views and countless digital streams and downloads worldwide.

Her artistic journey has been shaped through collaborations with musicians from Burkina Faso, Nubia, Israel, and Türkiye, including work with percussionist and producer Sangit, multi-instrumentalist Omer Gonen-Haela, and violinist Oren Tsor on recordings such as Great Is Yah, in 2022.

Following a sabbatical in Israel beginning in 2019, Norwood's travels throughout Türkiye, Italy, Cyprus, Jordan, and Egypt further enriched her understanding of biblical history and continue to influence both her music and ministry.

Beyond music, Norwood is the founder of W.I.S.E. (Walking in Spiritual Excellence) Coaching & Mentorship, where she serves women through faith-informed coaching, mentorship, vocal coaching, and educational resources. The launch of MalkahNorwood.co brings together every aspect of her work—including coaching, music, devotionals, speaking, digital resources, and Set-Apart Music & Meditation—into one platform dedicated to encouraging worship, healing, lifelong learning, and spiritual growth.

"My life's work is centered on helping people pursue truth, embrace healing, and walk with wisdom," says Norwood. "Whether someone discovers my music, joins a coaching session, reads a devotional, or studies Scripture with me, my hope is that they leave encouraged to grow in faith, character, and purpose.”

With nearly two decades of creative ministry and professional experience, Malkah Norwood continues to build bridges between music, mentorship, biblical education, and compassionate leadership—inviting people around the world to pursue lives marked by worship, wisdom, healing, and hope.

Beautiful Opportunity

2018 — At the beginning of my journey as Malkah Norwood, I had the honor of singing alongside contemporary Gospel recording artist, Mali Music, at a local event in Los Angeles. It was an unforgettable experience and a meaningful milestone in my career. Sharing the stage with an artist whose music profoundly influenced my spiritual journey was both humbling and inspiring, and it gave me valuable exposure as an emerging independent artist.

Life Behind the Work

Snapshots of the life I cherish—motherhood, music, travel, meaningful conversations, beautiful places, and the everyday moments that inspire my work. I believe our lives tell a story long before we speak, and I'm grateful to share a few chapters of mine with you.

YAH-firmations

Set-Apart Music and Meditation proudly presents the YAH-Firmations: I Am Meditation Series with Sister Malkah—a powerful collection of biblical affirmations anchored in faith, hope, and deep love for YHWH. Be refreshed, renewed, and strengthened as you meditate on truth. Intended to be spoken and repeated aloud to affirm your identity daily.

Beyond Music

My approach as a guide and mentor is grounded, structured, and intentional. I don’t offer quick fixes or surface-level encouragement. Instead, I guide women through a process of:

  • seeing patterns clearly

  • rebuilding internal alignment

  • establishing healthy boundaries and structure

  • developing consistent, wise living

  • and cultivating spiritual stillness through worship and meditation

My work is designed to move people from awareness into lived transformation.
