Frequently Asked Questions

Life Coaching is future-focused and action-oriented. Coaching helps you clarify goals, overcome obstacles, develop practical strategies, and create accountability for personal growth. The coach guides the process through thoughtful questions, goal setting, and structured support, while you remain the expert on your own life.
Mentorship builds upon coaching by drawing from lived experience. A mentor offers guidance, perspective, encouragement, and wisdom gained through personal and professional journeys. Mentorship often includes teaching, sharing lessons learned, and helping you navigate long-term growth with greater confidence.
At W.I.S.E., coaching and mentorship complement one another, empowering you to move forward with both practical action and enduring wisdom.

I am a Certified Life Coach, faith-based mentor, speaker, international recording artist, and founder of W.I.S.E. Life Coaching and Mentorship (Walk In Spiritual Excellence).
My professional background includes:
Certified Life Coach training
Certified Caregiving training and hands-on caregiving experience supporting individuals with compassion, daily living needs, and life transitions
Ongoing studies toward a degree
Continued education and specialization in religious trauma-informed support, with a focus on understanding the impact of high-control environments, spiritual identity transitions, and rebuilding personal agency
In addition to formal training, my coaching approach is shaped by years of personal growth and lived experience, including navigating divorce, single motherhood, rebuilding identity, and transitioning out of high-control religious environments.
These experiences have deepened my understanding of resilience, boundaries, self-trust, and the process of creating a healthy and purposeful life after difficult seasons.
-
No.
I am a Certified Life Coach and mentor, not a licensed therapist, psychologist, or clinical counselor.
Coaching focuses on personal development, goal setting, identity rebuilding, mindset growth, spiritual reflection, and creating practical steps toward positive change.
I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Individuals seeking clinical care, crisis intervention, or treatment should consult with a licensed mental health professional.
-
Religious trauma-informed coaching acknowledges that a person's spiritual experiences can influence their identity, relationships, confidence, emotional wellbeing, and ability to trust themselves.
My approach is informed by both study and lived experience with high-control religious environments. I understand the complexities that can arise when individuals are reevaluating beliefs, rebuilding discernment, establishing boundaries, or seeking a healthier relationship with faith.
This coaching may support individuals who are:
Leaving or recovering from high-control religious systems
Rebuilding self-trust and personal discernment
Processing shame, fear-based thinking, or identity struggles
Establishing healthy boundaries
Exploring faith, purpose, and personal values after major transitions
The goal is not to tell someone what to believe, but to support them in developing clarity, emotional strength, and alignment with their values.
-
My caregiving certification and experience have strengthened my ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered support.
Caregiving taught me the importance of:
Listening with compassion
Supporting people through vulnerable seasons
Recognizing individual needs
Practicing patience and emotional presence
Helping others maintain dignity and independence
These skills naturally complement coaching by creating a supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and encouraged.
-
W.I.S.E. Life Coaching is designed for individuals who are seeking growth, restoration, and clarity, including:
Women rebuilding after divorce or major life transitions
Single mothers navigating identity, purpose, and personal goals
Individuals recovering from high-control or spiritually harmful environments
Those seeking faith-based encouragement and accountability
Individuals who desire stronger boundaries, confidence, and self-trust

A Note About My Faith
My faith is deeply personal, deeply held, and central to who I am. It shapes my character, informs my values, and influences the way I live, worship, serve, and mentor others. While I am honored to share aspects of my beliefs publicly, I also recognize that faith is deeply intimate and not every conviction is meant to be explained, debated, or defended in a public forum.
The purpose of this website is to provide a clear and honest representation of who I am, what I believe, and the work I have been called to do. Throughout this site, I answer many of the questions I am most frequently asked so that visitors can gain an accurate understanding of my perspective as a multi-ethnic woman, worship leader, recording artist, life coach, and faith-informed mentor.
I welcome sincere questions that are asked with curiosity, humility, and respect. At the same time, I reserve the discretion to determine which topics I address publicly. Questions that extend beyond the information shared here—or that concern personal convictions, private matters of faith, theological debate, or my personal life—may remain unanswered.
My hope is that this space encourages meaningful dialogue, mutual respect, and thoughtful understanding. Whether or not we share the same beliefs, I believe we can engage one another with grace, integrity, and kindness.
Thank you for honoring these boundaries and for taking the time to learn more about my journey and the work I have the privilege of sharing.
